CBDC POLICY & IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING COURSE

COURSE OVERVIEW

CBDC Policy & Implementation Training Course is a comprehensive professional programme designed to equip central bankers, financial regulators, policymakers, banking executives, economists, payment-system specialists, FinTech professionals, technology leaders, legal experts, risk managers, and digital-finance professionals with the knowledge and practical capabilities required to formulate, evaluate, pilot, implement, govern, and continuously improve Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) programmes. The course examines CBDC policy development, digital-money economics, monetary policy implications, financial stability, payment-system modernization, financial inclusion, digital identity, cybersecurity, privacy, regulation, and institutional governance.

The programme provides an in-depth understanding of the complete CBDC policy and implementation lifecycle, from strategic justification and feasibility assessment to policy design, technology selection, architecture, stakeholder consultation, legal and regulatory readiness, pilot implementation, public adoption, operational management, evaluation, and national-scale deployment. Participants will examine retail and wholesale CBDC models, account-based and token-based approaches, two-tier architectures, digital wallets, interoperability, offline payments, programmability, cross-border CBDC applications, and integration with existing national payment infrastructure.

Participants will develop practical skills in CBDC policy formulation, economic impact assessment, cost-benefit analysis, legal and regulatory frameworks, monetary-policy analysis, banking-sector impact assessment, financial inclusion strategies, privacy-by-design, AML/KYC, cybersecurity, operational resilience, technology governance, data management, consumer protection, stakeholder engagement, pilot design, and implementation risk management. Special attention is given to the institutional coordination required among central banks, commercial banks, payment service providers, technology providers, government agencies, regulators, merchants, and the public.

Through practical exercises, policy simulations, implementation planning, CBDC architecture assessment, stakeholder-mapping exercises, risk scenarios, feasibility analysis, and general case studies, participants will develop a practical CBDC Policy and Implementation Roadmap. The programme enables organizations to make evidence-based CBDC decisions, establish effective governance structures, prepare regulatory frameworks, manage implementation risks, strengthen digital-payment ecosystems, promote financial inclusion, and support safe and sustainable digital-money transformation.
