IFRS SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING TRAINING COURSE

Course Introduction

IFRS Sustainability Reporting Training Course is a comprehensive and practical professional programme designed to equip finance professionals, accountants, auditors, sustainability specialists, risk managers, executives, and reporting teams with the knowledge and practical skills required to understand and implement the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) sustainability disclosure standards. The course focuses particularly on IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, enabling organizations to develop high-quality sustainability reports that provide decision-useful information to investors and other capital-market stakeholders. Participants will gain practical knowledge of sustainability reporting, ESG disclosure, climate risk reporting, sustainability governance, materiality, metrics and targets, and the integration of sustainability-related financial information into corporate reporting.
The programme provides an in-depth examination of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and their relationship with financial reporting, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, strategic planning, and investor communication. Participants will explore the core content areas of governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets, while learning how to identify, assess, measure, monitor, and disclose material sustainability-related risks and opportunities. The course also examines climate-related risks and opportunities, transition risks, physical risks, climate resilience, scenario analysis, greenhouse gas emissions, Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, climate targets, capital allocation, and the financial effects of sustainability-related matters.
Participants will develop practical skills in sustainability data collection, ESG performance measurement, sustainability metrics, reporting controls, internal assurance, data governance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting processes. The course addresses the connectivity between sustainability-related financial disclosures and general-purpose financial statements, helping participants understand how sustainability risks and opportunities may affect cash flows, access to finance, cost of capital, financial position, financial performance, and business strategy. General case studies will enable participants to assess sustainability-related risks, conduct materiality assessments, develop climate disclosures, establish reporting controls, and prepare practical IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 reporting frameworks.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to design and strengthen organizational sustainability reporting systems aligned with IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, improve ESG data quality, establish effective governance and controls, assess climate-related financial risks, and communicate sustainability-related financial information clearly and consistently. The programme is suitable for organizations preparing for sustainability reporting requirements, seeking to improve ESG transparency, responding to investor information needs, strengthening climate risk management, or integrating sustainability into corporate strategy and financial reporting. The training can be customized for listed companies, financial institutions, government organizations, NGOs, development agencies, multinational corporations, manufacturing companies, energy organizations, infrastructure entities, and other organizations developing sustainability reporting capabilities.
