Course Overview

KoboToolbox Advanced Skills for Health Training Course is designed to equip healthcare professionals, monitoring and evaluation specialists, researchers, health information managers, epidemiologists, and humanitarian practitioners with advanced knowledge and practical competencies in designing, deploying, managing, and analyzing digital health data collection systems using KoboToolbox. As governments, ministries of health, NGOs, UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and donor-funded health programs increasingly adopt digital health technologies, Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), Results-Based Management (RBM), Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Universal Health Coverage (UHC), and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), KoboToolbox has become one of the most widely used open-source platforms for mobile health data collection, disease surveillance, health facility assessments, community health monitoring, emergency response, and public health research. This comprehensive training provides participants with advanced skills in building secure, efficient, and high-quality digital data collection systems that improve data accuracy, timeliness, and evidence-based healthcare decision-making.

The course provides participants with hands-on experience in designing complex KoboToolbox forms using XLSForm standards, advanced skip logic, cascading selections, repeat groups, calculations, constraints, validation rules, multimedia integration, barcode scanning, GPS mapping, offline data collection, and dynamic questionnaires. Participants will learn how to configure projects for maternal and child health, immunization campaigns, HIV/AIDS services, nutrition surveys, disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, health facility assessments, humanitarian response, and community health programs.   7. Onsite Training Inclusions: The course fee for onsite training covers facilitation, training materials, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Certificate of Successful Completion. Participants are responsible for their travel expenses, airport transfers, visa applications, dinners, health/accident insurance, and personal expenses.
  8. Additional Services: Accommodation, pickup services, flight booking, and visa processing arrangements are available upon request at discounted rates.
