Introduction

The Protection Mainstreaming in Emergencies Training Course is a comprehensive professional development program designed to equip humanitarian professionals, emergency responders, government officials, development practitioners, and non-governmental organization personnel with the knowledge, technical expertise, and practical skills required to integrate protection principles into all phases of humanitarian preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience programming. The course focuses on protection mainstreaming, humanitarian protection principles, accountability to affected populations (AAP), safeguarding, gender equality, child protection, disability inclusion, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), gender-based violence (GBV) risk mitigation, conflict-sensitive programming, community engagement, humanitarian coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and risk management.
