Training Course on Healthcare Hazard Control and Safety Management

Course Overview

The Healthcare Hazard Control and Safety Management Training Course is a comprehensive professional development programme designed to equip healthcare professionals, safety officers, hospital administrators, and health sector managers with the knowledge and practical skills required to identify, assess, control, and manage workplace hazards within healthcare facilities. The course focuses on creating safe healthcare environments by strengthening occupational health and safety systems, minimizing workplace risks, preventing healthcare-associated injuries, and ensuring compliance with national and international health and safety standards. Participants will gain practical competencies in hazard identification, risk assessment, infection prevention and control, emergency preparedness, environmental health, and safety management systems that improve patient safety and staff wellbeing.

Healthcare facilities face numerous occupational hazards, including biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic, psychosocial, and environmental risks that can compromise patient care and employee health. This course introduces participants to internationally recognized frameworks and standards including Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), World Health Organization (WHO) Patient Safety Guidelines, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) principles, and healthcare risk management best practices. Participants will develop practical skills in implementing healthcare safety programmes, conducting workplace inspections, managing hazardous substances, preventing occupational injuries, improving infection control measures, and promoting a culture of safety within healthcare organizations.

The programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical learning through simulations, workplace inspections, hazard identification exercises, risk assessment workshops, emergency response drills, and real-life healthcare case studies. Participants will strengthen their ability to develop healthcare safety policies, implement risk mitigation strategies, conduct incident investigations, prepare emergency response plans, manage healthcare waste safely, monitor workplace safety performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare safety regulations. The course also emphasizes continuous quality improvement, patient-centered care, and organizational resilience through proactive hazard control and safety management.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will possess the expertise required to establish effective healthcare safety management systems, reduce occupational hazards, improve patient and staff safety, strengthen regulatory compliance, enhance emergency preparedness, and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement. The acquired knowledge and practical skills will enable healthcare organizations to improve operational efficiency, reduce workplace incidents, protect healthcare workers, and deliver high-quality healthcare services in safe and healthy working environments.
