COURSE OVERVIEW

Real-Time Payments Systems Training Course is a comprehensive professional programme designed to equip banking executives, payment-system professionals, FinTech specialists, financial regulators, technology managers, digital transformation professionals, treasury specialists, compliance officers, risk managers, and payment product leaders with practical knowledge and skills required to design, implement, operate, govern, and optimize real-time payment systems (RTPS). The course examines the transformation from traditional batch-based payment processing toward instant, 24/7, interoperable, secure, and customer-centric payment infrastructure, with emphasis on real-time settlement, payment clearing, transaction processing, digital channels, and modern payment ecosystems.

The programme provides an in-depth understanding of real-time payments infrastructure, instant payments, payment clearing and settlement, payment-system architecture, ISO 20022 messaging, APIs, interoperability, digital wallets, mobile payments, QR payments, account-to-account payments, payment gateways, fraud management, cybersecurity, liquidity management, transaction monitoring, and payment-system governance. Participants will examine how central banks, commercial banks, payment service providers, FinTech companies, telecommunications operators, merchants, and technology providers can collaborate to develop efficient and resilient real-time payment ecosystems.

Participants will develop practical competencies in RTGS and instant-payment concepts, payment clearing models, real-time transaction processing, liquidity and settlement risk, payment fraud prevention, cybersecurity, operational resilience, API integration, ISO 20022, customer authentication, AML/KYC, regulatory compliance, interoperability, cross-border instant payments, financial inclusion, and payment-system performance management. The course emphasizes high availability, transaction integrity, customer protection, operational continuity, regulatory compliance, scalability, and secure payment innovation.

Through practical exercises, payment-system case studies, transaction-flow simulations, ecosystem mapping, risk assessments, operational scenarios, and group assignments, participants will develop a Real-Time Payments System Implementation and Optimization Roadmap. The programme enables organizations to improve transaction speed, reduce payment friction, strengthen payment security, expand digital financial access, improve interoperability, manage settlement and liquidity risks, and build resilient real-time payment infrastructure.
