Irrigation Mapping and Water Management Training Course

The Irrigation Mapping and Water Management Training Course is designed to equip agricultural professionals, irrigation engineers, water resource managers, GIS specialists, agronomists, environmental scientists, researchers, and development practitioners with advanced knowledge and practical skills in irrigation planning, water resource assessment, and sustainable agricultural water management. Effective irrigation systems and efficient water management are critical for increasing agricultural productivity, enhancing food security, improving climate resilience, and supporting sustainable development. With growing pressures from climate change, water scarcity, population growth, and increasing agricultural demands, organizations require innovative technologies and evidence-based approaches to optimize water use and improve irrigation performance. This course provides comprehensive expertise in the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, GPS, hydrological analysis, and precision agriculture technologies for irrigation mapping and water management.

The training covers the complete irrigation management workflow, including irrigation system mapping, water resource assessment, watershed analysis, irrigation infrastructure inventory, crop water requirement estimation, irrigation scheduling, water distribution planning, drainage assessment, soil moisture monitoring, and irrigation performance evaluation.
